Protective, Independent & Calm
Komondor Work Description
The Komondor is a massive, powerful, and protective livestock guardian breed originally developed in Hungary. Known for their distinctive white, corded coat that resembles dreadlocks, they are intelligent, loyal, and strong-willed. Komondors are primarily used as livestock guardian dogs to protect flocks from predators. While they are reserved with strangers, they are deeply affectionate and protective of their family. They are excellent guard dogs but require consistent training, proper socialization, and an experienced owner. They thrive in large, rural environments with ample space to roam.
