The Keeshond is a friendly, loyal, and affectionate breed originally bred as a watchdog and family companion. Known for their distinctive “spectacles”—markings around their eyes that resemble glasses—Keeshonds are intelligent, adaptable, and great with children and other pets. They excel in companionship, watchdog duties, and can participate in agility and obedience competitions. With their thick double coat and friendly personality, they make excellent family pets in a variety of living situations. They are happiest with regular exercise, attention, and mental stimulation.
